In May of 2007, Mr. Zhao vomited after drinking too much alcohol, and then he developed complications with his voice. This wasn¡¯t emphasized until almost a year later when the problems with his voice worsened. In April of 2008 his speech became incoherent and he had swallowing difficulties, so he went to the local hospital to see his doctor.

Before Treatment:
Amer´s right limbs were presented with significant weakness without obvious inducement in 2008. His upper right limb was more serious, no tremors, difficulties with his balance, or muscular atrophy. In a short amount of time, his weakness progressed and four months later his left side developed the same symptoms of weakness, with the upper left limb affected more seriously. This was accompanied with thenar atrophy. He had serious muscle atrophy in both upper limbs. He visited a local doctor and had an EMG and MRI examination in July, 2008.
